Rise from the ashes a blaze of everyday glory

The trick or treating went better than any of us could have hoped for. The weather was fine. Ironically, just like last year, it was the very last house that didn't come through with a treat so we have been left no option but to play tricks.

I called the welfare intake call center and got a very pleasant young woman on the phone. She said she had to ask me twenty minutes worth of questions so away we go. Soon she starts to outline the benefits I am going to receive. A single person ...STOP! I have two kids. The assumption when a man applies for welfare is that he doesn't have kids living with him. Just mothers. This woman was very apologetic and we ended up having a good conversation. She was quite facinated by what I told her. She asked me if I beleived in Karma : )

Saint Bob was in town recently. In his interview he didn't talk about his family law issues...
